2. All Natural Vitamins are Healthier than Regular Vitamins

Many foods are being labeled and marketed as “all natural” but this isn’t an official term. There’s no guarantee that the product you’re buying truly is all natural as the label suggests. The only way you can be sure something is GMO-free is if it contains the USDA Organic stamp or the verified non-GMO label. Currently, there is no formal definition of “all natural,” and thus, there are no regulations for it. You would have to ask the company producing the good what they mean by “all natural”. If you want healthier vitamins, then buy organic or non-GMO.

3. Pharmaceutical Strength or Pharmaceutical Grade Vitamins are Stronger

Another myth based on a term used on vitamin bottles is “pharmaceutical strength” or “pharmaceutical grade”. Many people think this means the vitamins are stronger than other vitamins. Just like “all natural”, pharmaceutical strength and pharmaceutical grade aren’t official terms used for supplements. Because these terms don’t have a strict legal definition, you won’t know exactly what you’re getting. Your idea of pharmaceutical grade means 99% pure, but a certain vitamin manufacturer might have a different definition.

Be careful while shopping for supplements. The FDA doesn’t regulate them as strictly as drugs. If a supplement is proven unsafe, then the FDA will take it off of the market. Don’t be one of those unlucky customers by finding out the hard way that a particular brand is dangerous.
